Abstract

Divided into two parts, organisation and standards of maintenance. The part on organisation deals with work loads and staffing, programming and control of work, materials and plant, qualifications and training, and with the application of work study and incentive-bonus schemes. The part on standards of maintenance considers the standards aimed at and achieved, the factors influencing the achievement of adequate standards, and expenditure.
