Publication Year

Abstract
Calcined bauxite from Guyana has been found to have an exceptionally high resistance to polishing under traffic. It is, however, expensive and only limited supplies of roadstone sizes are available. This report summarises the results obtained from road trials with it and discusses methods whereby other aggregates might be produced with similar or still better properties at less cost.
