Abstract
Annex B provides in detail the changes to the non-domestic Technical Handbooks of Section 5: Noise. Covers noise transmission through separating walls and floors and through internal walls and floors.

This consultation comprises: a covering letter, Annex A - summary of proposed changes, this Annex B - proposed revisions to domestic and non-domestic guidance documents, Annex C - guidance on laminate/hard floor coverings, Annex D - example constructions and generic internal wall and floor details and Annex F - an intermediate regulatory impact assessment.

The Scottish Building Standards Agency (SBSA) was disbanded on 1 April 2008 and its functions to administer the Building Standards system in Scotland were transferred back to the Scottish Government. The Building Standards Division includes Planning and Architectural Policy.
