Abstract
Explains the decision to withdraw ICRCL Guidance Note 59/83, 2nd edition, dated July 1987, which was felt to be superseded by the comprehensive package of technical guidance issued by DEFRA in 2002 that was relevant to the assessment of human health risks arising from long-term exposure to contaminants in soil.
