Abstract

To construct earthworks features it is necessary first to conduct tests to determine acceptability of the soil to be used as a construction material. This report looks at Moisture, Condition and Value (MCV) testing, which ensures that soil is neither too wet nor too dry to compact to its optimum condition for construction purposes.
