Abstract
Details the properties which are required for a road surface to possess the necessary skid resistance and lays down the procedure to be used in monitoring it. It covers use of 'SCRIM' (Sideway-force Co-efficient Routine Investigation Machine) and associated analysis and investigation work. The details of calibration and use of SCRIM are given.
